Heritage Shar-PeiI have owned several different breeds of dogs in my lifetime, but the Shar-Pei owns my heart. I don't think anyone ever truly owns a Shar-Pei*** The Shar-Pei owns you. The Shar-Pei is a very proud dog, still possessing many of the original characteristics they were bred for. There is a very human quality to these dogs, unlike any other breed I have ever known. They know your every thought and are so in tune with your emotions. I have experienced so much joy as well as heartbreak in over 20 years of loving the Shar-Pei. It is my love for these unique dogs that keeps me striving to improve the breed. I am rewarded daily by the love and devotion I receive from my Pei family.
